For Cancer Wellness Magazine, I photographed these amazing breast cancer survivors and the tattoos they got to honor their loved ones and themselves. Each woman, in so many words, expressed how cancer felt like it was done to them. They endured scars and changes to their bodies they didn't ask for. Tattooing near or atop of their scars gave them that control they had longed for. A marking they chose, making their bodies beautiful in their eyes once again.
